In New Hampshire It’s The Perfect Holiday Gift for Wine Lovers

The holidays are right around the corner and that means gift giving is ramping up in a big way.

The perfect gift depends on the recipient, but most people don't need more stuff.  We look for creative gifts which are thoughtful, but those can be the most difficult to find.

Here's an idea for wine lovers that is unique and affordable.

There are a few places you can order an array of half bottles of wine with packaging as festive or classic as you want.

Costco is introducing another year of "The Wine Adventure Advent Calendar".  Last year the theme was "Around the World", but reversewinesnob.com says the big retailer is leaning into the Advent theme this year.

Good luck finding the 24 half bottles of wine packaged as the wine advent calendar.  It hasn't been spotted on the shelves yet in New England, but according to eatthis.com, the item has been spotted on the shelves deep in some Costco warehouses.

It's also reported that not all regions will receive the wine advent calendar this year. Flying Blue Imports has created the wine adventure, and have revealed the wines included this year.

The retail price is has not been announced, but it's projected to be between $99 and $119.  The 24 half bottles are 375 ml each, which is about 2.5 glasses of wine per bottle.

The variety is impressive with bold reds, to chardonnay, to chianti, to brut rose, to sake. Designed to take the wine lover to a different place in the world each day leading up to Christmas, the 24 bottles are quite a mix.

If you can't find the Wine Adventure at Costco, here's a good alternative at Total Wine.com.  There's a wine advent package available for $79.99, but the bottles are only 187 ml bottles.

For New Hampshire wine lovers, it's the adventure, and there are plenty of options.
