NH’s Rolling Smiles Hosting their First Annual Charity Bike Ride
The one bright spot that these tough times have shown me is how incredibly kind some people are and how adept they are at bringing communities together. I had the honor to meet with some of the people in the Rolling Smiles group. If you are not familiar with them, you should get to know them and their great work. These motorcycle riders have been donning superhero costumes and doing drives throughout the area during the pandemic’s lockdown spreading happiness, surprise, and cheer.
Now they have set their sights on helping raise money for charity. The Rolling Smiles Group is hosting its 1st Annual Charity Bike Ride to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The ride will begin at the New Hampshire American Legion Post #7 on Saturday, September 26 with registration opening at 9 am. Kick Stands will go up at 11:30 am. The ride will end at Harley Jacks in Ossipee NH.
There will be a $5 discount for child-friendly costumes. If you are looking for something different to do, there will be food trucks and raffle prizes and of course, SUPERHEROS! The true heroes of this event are the men and women behind the costumes who are generously giving of their time to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and lift the spirits of all of us New Hampshire residents with their rides. I personally know Spiderman, who is a great guy. To see them all on their motorcycles is a sight! Batman, the Incredible Hulk, Wonder Woman, Wolverine, and many more.
