Martha Stewart's website has picked one botanically beautiful spot in Maine as one of the best in the country.

Saturday night, I wheeled the Subaru around Southern Maine. While Christmas music played on the radio, and all were in a jolly mood, I found myself paying more attention to the road fog than actual displays. Checking out Christmas light displays in fifty degree weather seemed a little odd, but we still had fun. Had we ventured north to Boothbay Harbor, we would've been in for a real treat.

The annual holiday light display at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens recently landed on MarthaStewart.com's list of the '16 most magical Christmas light displays around the country.'

After the website noted Stewart's own Maine residence, they referred to the display as a "prime example of Maine's natural beauty. Buried beneath piles of snow, the gardens are home to a sea of Christmas lights during December."

The display, known as Gardens Aglow, was the only one in New England to make the top 16.

According to their website, Gardens Aglow will run through December 31st
