In this instance, Will Myska learned from his grandmother, Ore Nell.  His goal is to make her proud, and he's doing just that.

Ore Nell's Barbeque started five years ago on Badger Island, which is technically Kittery, Maine, and directly over Memorial Bridge from Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  It quickly became a "best of" Maine restaurant.

If you love brisket, St. Louis ribs, and pulled pork, you will love Ore Nell's.  The ribs feature a central Texas rub and are slow cooked.  They also have barbecued tofu, Texas hot links, smoked seitan ribs, mac n' Vermont cheddar, and chicken too.

Chef and owner Will grew up outside of Houston, and learned how to cook in his grandmother’s kitchen. According to orenellsbbq.com, Myska says,

“My grandmother would always prepare amazing meals with gumbo, tamale casserole, fresh cucumber and tomato salads and buttermilk pies.  Everyone would help - from peeling the potatoes to washing the produce. And then of course sitting down together at the table to dig in. Everything she cooked was full of love and flavor – that’s what I am trying to do here at Ore Nell’s.”
