Our Friends at Say it in 3D in Rye NH Made Me a Kira Action Figure and Bill is So Jealous

3D printing is a complicated process that I don't fully understand but all I know is the outcome is COOL! "Say it in 3D" in Rye makes everything from wedding cake toppers to replicas of your furry friends. And here's a fun fact: they will even make you a statue of yourself in the nude if you ask nicely. (I didn't get one)

Here is how it works! You go into this photo booth with 360-degree cameras and you have to stay really still in whatever pose you choose. They let you do a few different poses.

This is what it looks like when the lights are projecting on you in the booth, you look like something out of a comic strip.

Then when you are done with your photo shoot they upload the photos to their fancy computer and that is when you decide which photo you want to be made into a statue. It shows you all of the angles of yourself which can be rather disturbing. The photo below I didn't choose for my statue. It looked a lot cooler in my head.

Then Tony will work his magic. Typically the models take a few hours to design and print depending on how many you want and how big they are.

Look how cool these turned out! I know Bill is jealous that he didn't come with me to get his own action figured made but as the old saying goes, you snooze you lose.

Since I have multiple I think I might give him one in case I go on vacation or something he won't forget what I look like!
