Our Inaugural Soups On Event Was An Epic Success!
$3,000 raised for End 68 Hours of Hunger in under 3 hours.
Saturday's sold out "Soups On!" event, presented by Dead River Company, proved to be a success! We welcomed over a dozen area restaurants to showcase their soups for a crowd of hundreds.
The weather also cooperated with temperatures at the lowest we've seen in weeks (it was 12 degrees when I showed up.) Attendees had no problem coming to Great Bay Community College to warm up with some hot soup and delicious brews from Sam Adams!
We were delighted to welcome our beneficiary End 68 Hours of Hunger, who was able to walk away with $3,000 in collected donations to their organization- which helps provide food to children in need during the time period between Friday after leaving school and Monday morning when they return. A big thank you to all who contributed! It is because of YOU that we're able to feed children in need, at home on the weekends.
Congratulations to 250 Market in Portsmouth for taking home the People's Choice award for best soup!
Also a BIG thanks to Annie Brobst who performed on the KB Kelley's Flooring Stage for the entirety of the event without taking any breaks or repeating songs! Annie is a magnificent talent and we were delighted to have her on hand for the event.
