Patriots Player Surprises His Dad with His Dream Ride

Jonathan Jones who is a Cornerback for our New England Patriots is such a stand up bloke! After watching this video on his Instagram I have a whole newfound respect for him.

The 27-year-old NFL star has been playing for the Pats since 2016 which means he has won Superbowl or two! (two exactly) To state the obvious, professional football players make pretty substantial salaries. But what good is a bunch of money if you don't share the wealth with those who have loved and supported you from the jump? Jonathan decided to surprise his dad Stacey with the vintage car of his dreams for his birthday. A 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible 442! I got a little misty eyed watching this. Check it out:

I love how Jonathan jokingly says at the beginning "If he doesn't cry, I am taking it back. That's the deal." Thankfully, he didn't need to bring the car back because the tears were streaming. Stacey's genuine surprise and delight is what makes this video for me. According to Boston.com, Jonathan and his dad share a love for vintage cars so to be able to buy him the car of his dreams is such an incredible moment.

They say money can't buy you happiness but I am not so sure about that. Jonathan's dad looked pretty dang happy in this video. It got me thinking, what would I buy my parents if I had some money to spare? My parents love theater and Broadway so much, I think I would treat them to front row tickets to some of their favorite shows. What would you buy?
