This is definitely not the kind of news you want to hear if you have kids. New Hampshire has the highest rate of pediatric cancers in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

A report by WMUR-TV claims the CDC says those under 20 years old have the highest overall rates in the northeast, with an average of 188 cases for every 1 million people. But here in New Hampshire that number leaps to 205 cases per million.

Officials at New Hampshire’s Department of Health and Human Services told WMUR-TV they are "trying to minimize known risk factors for various types of cancer with community members and legislators."
