Popular No-Frills Kittery Pub Closes It’s Doors After 28 Years

After 28 years in business, the owners of the Corner Pub at 4 Wallingford Square in Kittery have decided to close its doors. The owner, Centula Abrams has dealt with some health issues and operating the bar continues to get more expensive. As Centula simply put it, "It was just time".

According to Fosters, The Corner Pub is described as a "working man's bar". It is known for its no-frills decor, pub-style menu and pool tables that fill half the room. Lots of people came by the pub on Saturday to say goodbye. They plopped down on a stool and ordered a beer there for the last time. The Corner Pub will be missed by many, especially the surrounding businesses who used the pub as their after-work watering hole!

All good things must come to an end. We wish Centula and her partner, John Reed, nothing but happiness as they move on to the next chapter in their lives!
