Portsmouth Police Arrest Three, Possibly Thwart Robbery

(Portsmouth, NH) - Three people are facing charges and Portsmouth police are continuing their investigation after a Wednesday night incident on Lafayette Road. 

20 year old Tyler Welch of Portsmouth and two juveniles, one male and one female, are facing various charges. Police say a woman called to report a male with a gun outside the Circle K Convenience Store around 7 pm.

Police found the three suspects hiding in nearby bushes. They were armed with loaded air pistols and knives and had clothing that may have been designed to conceal identities.

The male juvenile was subdued by a K-9 unit after failing to comply with an officers command. He was evaluated by medical personnel and found to have no injuries.

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident
