Get ready for some star sightings in Salem this Summer.

Hocus Pocus 2, as reported by patch.com, will be filming all around the North Shore this year and is slated for release in 2022.

If you don't know the movie Hocus Pocus, you don't know what you're missing.  From IMDB, here's the official description:

A curious youngster moves to Salem, where he struggles to fit in before awakening a trio of diabolical witches that were executed in the 17th century.

The movie is so much more than that!  The costumes, the songs, the OVER THE TOP acting!  It just never gets old.  I watch it every Halloween.

It stars the Devine Miss M, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy, the Sanderson Sister who have come back from the dead after being executed at the Salem Witch trials.

The North Shore has seen lots of movie action lately, so report states.  Disney's "Godmother" was filmed in Marblehead and "The Tender Bar" starring Ben Affleck and directed by George Clooney filmed in Beverly not long ago.

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
