Saturday Is National Honey Bee Day, And They Will Celebrate In NH

(Rye, NH) - A summer social will be held at the Goss Farm in Rye from 4 to 6 pm.

The League of Conservation Voters, Sea Bee Honey and Revision Energy are joining forces to pay homage to the vitally important contributor to agriculture, our food supply and our well being.

The groups say climate change, loss of habitat through land development and the increased use of pesticides are stressors on the honeybee and have contributed to their decline in recent decades.

The National Honey Bee Day social, open to the public, will provide information on helping to protect the small creature that is so essential to out world.
