With the killing of Cecil the Lion sparking outrage and making worldwide headlines, many are now asking if big-game hunting should be completely banned.

According to a report by CNN, American dentist, Walter Palmer said:
"I had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favorite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt,"

Allegedly, Palmer paid $50,000 in early July to hunt the lion with a crossbow near Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. Oppah Muchinguri, the African nation's environment minister says Zimbabwe has now called on the U.S. to extradite the Minnesota dentist.
