The weather in New England is unpredictable and at times down right crazy. If you decide to call a New England state "home", the erratic  weather comes with the territory. You just have to accept it! It's kind of like if you decide to pursue a relationship with a radio host, you have to know that every fight you have will be broadcasted over the airwaves for all to hear.

But back to the weather. If you believe in long term predictions and forecasts, the Old Farmer's Almanac, said New Hampshire should prepare itself for a wet and stormy Winter with above-normal amounts of precipitation. Temperatures are predicted to be near to above normal and Farmer's Almanac states we can expect our first Winter storm in early December. So far, this prediction seems to be fairly accurate.

We've already seen full blown Winter conditions atop Mount Washington last week. Temperatures were in the mid-20s with winds up to 60 mph, and wind chill values in the single digits.

The Mount Washington Auto Road and Mount Washington Cog Railway weren't operating fully due to Winter making an early appearance.

Calling it an "early winter" doesn't feel accurate because the summit of Mount Washington has seen snow every single month of the year.

No matter what your feelings are about snow in October, there is one thing we can all agree on; It sure is pretty:

This type of Winter activity is pretty par for the course atop Mount Washington in October. However, once it starts happening on the mainland it raises a few eyebrows.

Up north in Pittsburg, New Hampshire, they saw 2 inches of snow earlier this week. It is looking like a full Winter wonderland up there and Halloween is still a few weeks away!

Kathleen and her husband have two properties that they rent for snowmobilers, ATV, hunting, fishing, vacation rentals, etc. They are described as "two private, cozy, 2 bedroom cabins located at the end of a private ridge top road with direct snowmobile and ATV trail access."

You might even see a moose:

By the looks of things up there, snowmobiling season might be upon us already. (this photo was taken a previous Winter)
