Maine only has one Friendly's restaurant in the state, and there could be some changes coming soon to the South Portland location.

I remember the days that I used to beg my parents to take me to Friendly's, I just could not get enough of the Monster Mash Sundae. As the years went by, my taste buds changed and I went from getting a grilled cheese to a delicious salad topped with tortilla chips and a Friend-Z.

In the summertime, going to Friendly's was always refreshing, even if my choice to cool down seemed strange to some. I would get a watermelon sorbet Fribble with chocolate jimmies.

There are many Friendly's locations in Connecticut and Massachusetts, but there are only two locations in New Hampshire and one in Maine (by the Maine Mall). If you have always dreamed of operating an iconic restaurant like Friendly's, I have some great news for you. You could be the next "owner" of the only Friendly's in Maine.

According to Eatz Associates, for the price of $475,000 you could be the proud new franchisee owner.

Of course, you will need some more details if you do want to make this business decision so, I will lay it out for you.

What's Included with the $475,000? Eatz Associates states that other than becoming the new franchisee, all furniture, fixtures, equipment, and inventory are included in the asking price.

Lease Information: The leased space is $9,453 a month and the current lease expires March 2027 with two 5-year options.

Other Information: The location is 4,246 square feet, seats 182 individuals, and has 30 employees. The hours of operation are 8 am to 10 pm daily.

If you are ready to get into making ice cream and delicious meals, you can find the listing here.

The real question is, what if no one decides to buy, will the only Friendly's left in the state choose to close its doors? I guess time will tell.
