Could it be because they reportedly spent a TON on the naming rights to Bronco's Field?

The announcement came yesterday that Sports Authority has filed for bankruptcy  According to an article on the Consumerist, they can do one of two things:

-Look for a buyer (likeley a current competitor)

-Reorganize the current company layout and figure out a way to pay off their debt of  $1.1 billion

In the announcement, they revealed they're closing 140 stores.

The preliminary list includes local stores (Nashua NH, Framingham & Danvers MA.)

They're also closing three locations in their home-based state of Colorado including Denver, Greenwood Village & LIttleton.

Why is this information important?  Because Sports Authority owns the naming rights to the Broncos Field (a deal that according to Wiki they agreed to paying $6 Million/ year for the 25 years for.)

I'm thinking since it's Peyton's house, one of his sponsors should take it over.  Nationwide?  Papa Johns?
