Suspect Sought In Brutal Rochester Assault

(Rochester, NH) - Rochester Police are trying to identify a man who assaulted a woman outside the Planet Fitness studio on North Main Street last week.

The suspect was captured by surveillance cameras as he approached the 18-year old victim as she left work around 10 pm on June 12.

The suspect approached the woman from behind and striking her 39 times with his hands, throwing her to the ground and kneeing her in the head. The victim suffered only minor injuries in the assault.

The suspect then left the area in in a light-colored Ford Fusion or similar vehicle.

There are reports the suspect may have sat in his car in the parking lot for a number of hours before the assault occurred.
