The 2nd Most Expensive Place to Live in New England is Here in NH
According to Fosters.com, a site called PropertyShark calculated the top 20 most expensive home markets in New England.
They compiled data by using all residential transactions closed between Jan. 1 and Nov. 22, 2019 in all six New England states. Boston came in first which is not surprising. Beantown had a median price of $3.7 million.
The second most expensive New England zip is Rye Beach, New Hampshire.
That's right! The good old 03871 zip code has a median sale price of $1.9 million.
That's the same as Laguna Beach, California! By the way, it doesn't snow there. Just saying.
Other notable facts from this report:
- Newcastle was the second most expensive zip in New Hampshire with a median sale price of 1.2 Million
- Portsmouth is the 10th most pricey zip code in the Granite state. I thought it would be higher on the list!
- Maine's most expensive zip is Cumberland with a $647,000 median.
