If you are just visiting Lowell, Massachusetts, keep a lookout for George Clooney and Ben Affleck.  Clooney is directing a film starring Affleck and the two have been seen this week in Lowell according to WCBV.com. A graduation scene was shot at the Harvard Club that is to be a Yale graduation scene.  Last Tuesday, the filming activity was at Parkview Avenue in Lowell.  This isn’t the only time the crew has been spotted on Parkview Avenue, so it is guessed to be a recurring shot in the movie.

Reports from WCVB.com say the film is scheduled for an upcoming release on Amazon.  I suppose it’s still too soon to see a film premiere in a movie theatre.  The cast includes Ben Affleck, Tye Sheridan, Lily Rabe, and Christopher Lloyd.  Residents have seen the film crews working all along the North Shore and I really can’t wait till the release of the film to spot some familiar places.  I am also rooting for Ben Affleck; he has had a rough couple of years, and I am hoping he has a hit.

The film is based on the Tender Bar book which is a memoir by J.R. Moehringer per reporting by Deadline.  The book tells the story of a man how he grew up without his father and used his Uncle Charlie, a bartender as a father figure.  Uncle Charlie in the film is played by Ben Affleck.  So be alert along the North Shore, you never know what celebrity you might spot.
