The Continuing Saga Of 36 German Shepherds In Protective Custody In NH
(Stratham, NH) - The New Hampshire SPCA continues to care for the dogs as the owner appeals her conviction on multiple charges of cruelty to animals.
Because of the appeal, the dogs remain in protective custody, unable to be put up for adoption.
The dogs, along with 3 rabbits and a chicken, were seized in December. The appeal may not be heard for another 3 months, keeping the animals fate in limbo.
The time and costs associated with caring for the dog have taken their toll on the SPCA.
