There Is A Sculpure In The Works to Honor The Inventor of Video Games From Manchester NH
According to the Union Leader, Ralph Baer (AKA the father of video games) was a long time resident of the Queen city. He passed away in 2014 at the age of 92. Now his son and a group of Manchester residents have launched a campaign to raise money to get a sculpture made in Ralph's honor.
They would call it "The Baer Bench" and it would look a little something like this:
As of today the campaign has raised over 1,600 dollars of their 10,000 dollar goal. If funded, the bench would be located at Arms Park on the end of Stark Street facing the water and in front of the Millyard. If you would like to donate or learn more about the project, visit the Kickstarter website.
