This NH Park Was A Murder Dumping Ground
New Hampshire is one of the safest states in the country. But it's also the site of an murder that still has law enforcement baffled. According to Only In New Hampshire, four bodies were found in Bear Brook State Park in Allentown, NH in 1985. And after more than 30 years...the case is still unsolved.
Adding to the shock is three of the victims were children, ages two, four, and nine. The site says the fourth victim was a woman in her mid-twenties.
Sounding more like something from a horror movie than real life...a hunter discovered the first two bodies of the woman and a child on November 10, 1985. They had been wrapped in plastic, and stuck inside a 55 gallon drum.
Only In New Hampshire reports, police and New Hampshire residents spent 15 years searching for answers to no avail. Then in May, 2000...the unthinkable happened again. Two more people were found murdered in the exact same way...and only 300 feet from the first two victims. After investigating, authorities determined the woman was probably. The 4-year-old was not related to the other victims, and police think she may have been from the mid-west.
Police were never able to identify the victims by name. Finally, the FBI released composites of the victim's faces four years ago. Sadly, they resulted in no substantial leads. Until they do...the mystery of four unsolved murders hang over the peaceful serenity of Bear Brook State Park in Allentown, NH
