If I had my wish for one clothing store that would open here in New Hampshire, I would wish for Ross Stores!

I first discovered Ross Stores while I was in Las Vegas several years ago while attending the ACM Awards.

See, I had an um, let’s call it a wardrobe malfunction with the dress I brought with me to wear to the show. As Mark and I were walking up and down the strip in Vegas, I noticed the sign for Ross. I had never heard of them before, but I figured I'd walk in and check it out. WOW! I was like a kid in a candy store. I spent a lot and I mean a lot of time in the store wishing we had one back home. Mark kept himself occupied by catching up with me later. Who knows what he did along the Vegas strip, but I was having a good time on my own at Ross!

And yes, I found a gorgeous gown that fit perfectly and the price was right up my alley! My wardrobe crisis for the ACM Awards was averted but, it also made me sad knowing that I couldn’t feed my need for Ross Stores back here at home.

I sure hope the owners of Ross Stores give New England a try and open a couple of locations. I know in this day and age of online shopping that the retail landscape has changed. But, I am one of those people who don’t like to order clothing online. I like to go to the store, feel the fabric, try it on and look at my options before I buy. That way, I’m less likely to have to return something.

Ross Stores operate over 1400 locations in 38 states, but NONE in the our region.
