Thrift Store in Hudson, New Hampshire, Benefits Local Pet Rescue
I am relieved to see that Gen Zers are really into thrifting.
During my high school and college days it was all about fast fashion. The amount of money I spent at Forever 21 over the course of my four-year college career... I don't want to know!
I grew tired of spending my money on cheaply made clothes that I am only going to wear a few times before it falls apart, goes out of style, or I am just plain old sick of it. It is far more economically and environmentally friendly to buy gently used clothes at a thrift shop.
A thrift shop on its own is already moving the needle in the right direction, but a thrift shop that donates a percentage of its proceeds to a local animal rescue? That is off the charts!
Hudson, New Hampshire, is home to a new thrift shop for a great cause
A new thrift store called Purrfect Thrift opened in Hudson, New Hampshire.
They are a for-profit store with a heart, supporting Happy Tails Pet Rescue with partial proceeds and behind-the-scenes help.

They opened just a few weeks ago with high hopes of serving the community, offering affordable treasures, and supporting rescue animals. However, they are facing a tough reality: sales have been lower than expected, and if things don’t improve, they may not be able to keep our doors open much longer.
Purrfect Thrift was inspired by their cat Lilly, a cat with her own story who inspired their mission. Their store brings affordable finds to the community while making a difference for pets in need—but they need the community’s support to keep going.
We love supporting local businesses, especially ones that are doing such important work in our community. As you are out and about these next few weeks for holiday shopping, consider popping into Purrfect Thrifts for your Christmas shopping needs. I know your business would be so appreciated and go a long way.
