Fall is upon us.  Pumpkin spice everything is in your stores.  Time to plan that little fall trip you have been dreaming about.

I found a great article from Outside online that lists nine great fall getaways, but here's three of them that stood out to me.

Does rock climbing sound like your choice of adventure? Try Rumney, New Hampshire.  Best place to stay is Runmey’s Barn Door Hostel, according to Outside, whose owner is an expert on the area and can show you the ropes.

In fact, he opened his Hostel to service climbers.

If you crave adventure this is the place, beautifully situated at the southern border of White Mountain National Forest you will find plenty of sport, boulder and trad routes, according Outside. From beginner to expert there is a place for you to climb.

Mountain biking and craft beer your thing? Try Burke, Vermont.  The trails are spectacular and rock free, Outside states, and their Kingdom Trails network goes on for nearly 100 miles.

After your thrilling nature ride, stop by Mike’s Tiki Bar for a Fiddlehead IPA to make the trip complete, the outdoor article states.

Art and hiking more your style?  Try the Berkshires in Massachusetts.  The foliage makes an incredible display of many colors here, according to Outside, and the best view is atop Monument Mountain.

It’s not a difficult hike with an elevation of only 720 feet but has an incredible view of the Housatonic River Valley, the article states. They even recommend that while you are there, take in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.

I'd love to check these places out. And if you're looking for even more places to go, you can check out Outside's other choices here.
