Despite a pleading “this home is the only opportunity I have to live in this community,” a 23-year-old will not be able to set up her tiny home in Hampton Falls.

While the seacoast of New Hampshire continues to grow at a fairly rapid pace, one community is putting the breaks on a planned 128 foot house.

According to Seacoast Online, the town’s Zoning Board of Adjustment told a 23-yea-old woman she could not put a tiny house on the property of her parents.

Brianna O’Brien needed approval of two variances to make the tiny house a permanent home, the article stated.

Tiny houses have been all the rage worldwide for their affordability and practicality.

It's not like O'Brien is a transplant looking to start a new life here in the Granite State. Seacoast Online reported she was born and raised in Hampton Falls, and she said she would like to to continue living in and contributing to her hometown.

The $29,000 home arrived last year, and was immediately met with resistance, as it violated town ordinances, according to Seacoast Online.

O'Brien was deflated, telling the board, in the article, “I hope you see I want to say here. I don’t want to break the rules. I believe this (tiny house) is an honorable way to live.”
