Traffic Alert: Emergency Road Work Closes Portion of Maine Turnpike

Exit 1 on the Maine Turnpike will be closed for several hours today, due to emergency repairs.

You may want to plan a few extra minutes on your commute today if you plan on traveling the Maine Turnpike.

Exit 1 on the northbound side will be shut down to traffic for approximately 8 hours today for emergency guardrail repairs.

Officials say Exit 1, which leads to Kittery and Eliot will be closed between 8am and 3:30pm. You will be able to get around the road closure by using Exit 2.
