Two Big Name Outdoor Retailers to Join Forces
Attention outdoor lovers....one well-known outdoor company has just acquired it's biggest competitor.
According to a recent article in USA Today, Bass Pro Shops has reportedly bought Cabela's in a deal worth $5.5 billion dollars!
A statement released by Johnny Morris, the founder and CEO of Bass Pro Shops says in part:
“The story of each of these companies could only have happened in America, made possible by our uniquely American free enterprise system. We have enormous admiration for Cabela’s, its founders and outfitters, and its loyal base of customers. We look forward to continuing to celebrate and grow the Cabela’s brand alongside Bass Pro Shops and White River as one unified outdoor family.”
The closest Bass Pro Shops are located in Hooksett, New Hampshire and Foxboro, Mass, while you can find Cabela's in Scarborough, Maine and Berlin, Mass.
