Ultimate Guide to Fall Adventure in New England
Want to take a trip the whole family will enjoy this fall? Boston Magazine has a list of places you'll want to check out.
Like a trip Castle in the Clouds, which is located in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. My wife loves horses, so this is definitely on my list of to-dos and must-see adventures. I might just have to overcome my fear of horses to make this trip with her.
Another spot the magazine mentions that has me excited is Mount Roberts, which has an elevation of 2,582 feet and some hiking trails. More than 28 miles to take in the fall foliage and do some hiking or as the Japanese say, “bathing in nature.”
According to Boston Magazine, there are waterfalls to see, yoga classes to take and musical acts to enjoy. This is the perfect setting for the dramatic show that mother nature puts on this season. They offer pony rides, guided trail rides and even carriage rides for the lesser horse capable individuals like me.
And on October 19, the have a Halloween-themed pumpkin walk. You can take a night hike where your path will be lit by numerous jack o lanterns and some Halloween surprises in the wooded trail.
The pumpkin walk is child-friendly so perfect for the little ones, not scary or gory.
And these are just some of the places Boston Magazine lists. Where would you want to go this fall? Are there any places not on the list you would add?
