A few months ago, I wrote about cow cuddling and apparently a lot of us are looking for unique ways to spend a day.

Then I discovered something that somehow feels even more random.

You can actually take an alpaca for a walk or do yoga.  I mean... how cute are these things?

You grab a lead, an alpaca grabs your heart, and off you go wandering around a farm or trail like you've suddenly become a shepherd in the mountains of Peru.

The best part? Several of these experiences are right here in New England.

Alpaca Walk Experience – Andover, Vermont

Website: https://alpacawalkstore.com

This might be the closest thing to an actual "alpaca hike" that you'll find in New England. Visitors can hand-feed the alpacas, learn about them, and take a casual walk through the property. The farm is open year-round and is located near Okemo, Stratton, Bromley, and Magic Mountain.

If I end up doing this one, there's a very good chance you'll see photos of me getting judged by an alpaca.

Harvard Alpaca Ranch – Harvard, Massachusetts

Located about an hour west of Boston, Harvard Alpaca Ranch offers farm tours where visitors can meet and interact with the herd and do Alpaca Yoga... Yes, Alpaca Yoga. The ranch has become one of the most popular alpaca destinations in New England and is known for its friendly animals and educational tours.

Also, alpacas somehow always look like they know something you don't.

Living The Dream Alpaca Farm – Quechee, Vermont

This rescue alpaca farm has become a favorite stop for visitors to Vermont. Several visitors mention being able to walk an alpaca around the property, making for some pretty incredible photo opportunities.

Honestly, Vermont is making a strong case for becoming the alpaca capital of New England.

Northern Vermont Llama Treks – Jeffersonville, Vermont

Okay, technically these are llamas instead of alpacas, but they're close cousins and the experience looks incredible. Guided treks through the Green Mountains let the animals carry your picnic while you enjoy the scenery.

Which honestly sounds like hiking on easy mode.

Agape Hill Farm – Ware, Massachusetts

This farm offers trail walking experiences and hands-on interactions with llamas. It's another great option if you're looking for something completely different than your typical day trip.

I never thought I'd be writing an article comparing alpaca walks and llama walks, but here we are.

If you've already cuddled a cow or mini highland and are looking for your next unique New England adventure, taking an alpaca for a walk might need to be added to your summer bucket list.

And if I end up doing one of these, I'll report back with an important piece of journalism:

Iconic Diners in New Hampshire

There’s just something about a diner… the coffee that never stops coming, the same booth people have probably been sitting in for 30 years, and a breakfast that somehow hits every single time.

As I’ve been getting to know New Hampshire, one thing became very clear — this state LOVES its diners. And not just any diners… we’re talking iconic, been-here-forever, locals-swear-by-it kind of places.

So I went down the rabbit hole (and got very hungry in the process) and pulled together some of the most iconic diners across the Granite State.

Did we get your favorite? Or are you already mad we missed one? 😅
