I've lived in New Hampshire for 10 years now. Before NH, I lived in Merrimac, Massachusetts, for my first 18 years of life.

So I am very familiar with all things New England; the best stores, the most famous restaurants, and of course, all the theme parks.

I have seen Whale's Tale Water Park in Lincoln, New Hampshire, because I spend a lot of time hiking in the White Mountains. However, I did not know the NAME of the water park. I only saw parts of the park as I drove by.

When I saw an advertisement on social media last week that finally revealed the name, I was floored.

The name of the water park is actually...Whale's Tale? No way, this cannot be right.

Everyone over the age of 24 knows exactly what I am referring to here.

A whale's tail is a trend. A trend that was wildly popular in the early 2000s. The concept was simple. Women would wear low-rise pants and g-strings underneath.

So, it was very common, especially when women bent over, to have the top of their underwear visible for anyone to see.

The underwear looked like a whale's tail coming out of the water.

It was a very popular look in the early 2000s, and sported by Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton, Mariah Carey, and others.

But it was not JUST famous people. EVERYONE rocked the whale's tail.

So when I finally saw an advertisement with the name "Whale's Tales", my first thought was...yeah, it was what you thought too.

From what I have heard, this water park is super family-friendly, and people seem to love it.

* This waterpark is OBVIOUSLY not alluding to a woman's underwear, hence the spelling of tale. But as a '90s baby, I cannot read or hear "whale's tale" or "tail" without thinking of the low-rise jeans era.
