It appears as if Tom Brady is about to become a free agent this week. According to Foxnews.com, Brady appears to have some very specific demands for his next team. ESPN’s Dianna Russini says, “he wants to be part of making decisions on the play calling” and “control over the roster.”

Why are these key points so important to Brady? Well, it’s likely that he only has a few seasons left to play in the NFL. He is superman but at some point, in the near future, he has to retire. That leaves him with very little time to get a team capable of producing what he wants most; a Superbowl win.

According to the FoxNews article, it doesn’t appear that Brady had much say over playing calling or the roster of players he played with under coach Bill Bellichick. He has 6 championships, but I imagine he would like to retire with his last game being a win in a Superbowl. It’s going to take a lot of money and patience to come up with a deal to make him happy. As for now, who knows what the future holds for Tom Brady. I am hoping he stays with the Patriots.
