I spent Sunday afternoon visiting my daughter at her new apartment building in Haverhill. It is in one of those newly renovated mill buildings that look really cool, both inside and out. There is a recreation room on the first floor, and this is part of the wall there. It is the original boiler from when the building was built, "back in the day". What's cool is you can still read the nameplate from the foundry in Fitchburg where is was cast. The picture doesn't quite do it justice, but this is about 6 feet in diameter, it takes up the whole wall. Can you imagine the heat this baby produced on a cold winter night? Crazy!!
