These Eight New England Colleges Named the Worst in the U.S

For many of us, it was drilled into our heads at a young age that we needed to go to college after high school to land a good job. And for many of us, this path came to fruition. However, not all four-year universities are created equal, and there is nothing worse than graduating college with a boatload of debt and no job prospects.

A site called Avocadoposts.com came out with a list of the 45+ worst universities and colleges in America. They evaluated factors like high tuition rates, low graduation rates, and an overall poor return on investment.

New England is known for having some of the most prestigious and well-respected universities in the country; Harvard, MIT, and Yale, just to name a few. I was surprised to see so many New England institutions on this list (eight, to be exact!).

Admittedly, I haven't heard of many of these New England colleges that made it on this list. Perhaps that says something. However, there were a few that I was very surprised to see make the list. I know people who attended these colleges and had great educations and went on to have very successful careers.

Naming the following colleges some of the worst in the U.S does not reflect the personal opinions of this writer. I am simply relaying information from the avocadoposts.com article (AKA, don't shoot the messenger!).
