Nearly 70-Year-Old Iconic Maine Restaurant Closes After Dinner Monday Night
According to WMTW, Cole Farms Restaurant in Gray, Maine, opened its doors in 1952 and the same family has run it for all of these years!
Brad Pollard, the owner of Cole Farms, said his family opened the restaurant when he was only 10-years-old. According to Brad in the article, the restaurant was extremely successful for decades but in the past few years it has been difficult to make ends meet.
This is an extremely difficult and emotional decision for the Pollard family, but unfortunately they believe it is the right one.
So no more specials on the big sign outside:
no more of the best blueberry pie in the entire world:
No more Indian Pudding:
Tonight (Monday, January 13) will be the last dinner shift at Cole Farms Restaurant.
If you can, swing by and thank the Pollards for their excellent service and for making Cole Farms a staple in Gray for so many years. It will be dearly missed!
