UPDATE: The New Hampshire man was found not guilty of all charges in 2024.

A Dover man could spend the rest of his life in prison after allegedly getting caught distributing and possessing images of nude boys and men together.

He was charged with seven counts of possession of child sexual abuse images and one count of distribution of child sexual abuse images.

Assistant County Attorney Hannah Carlson said on Thursday that the child pornography was flagged by an email server, which is how they became aware of the graphic images.

Carlson said the case is ongoing, but there are no indications at this point that there is a child pornography ring on the Seacoast.

Carlson said many of the photos are unidentifiable.

"So we don't really know who they are," Carlson said.

Carlson is prosecuting the case for the state.

The suspect was accused of possessing the pornography on March 25, March 27, April 8 and July 13 of 2020. He is accused of distributing a child sexual abuse images on April 8 of last year.

Each of the Class A felonies for possession of child sexual abuse images carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison. The distribution change has a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
