Public Health Threat Declaration Issued in Southern NH for West Nile Virus
(Concord, NH) - The NH Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) issued the public health threat declaration, making it easier for communities to take measures to control the mosquito population.
29 communities in southern New Hampshire are named in the declaration, allowing them to increase community awareness and expedite the municipal mosquito control permitting process.
There have been 16 mosquito batches in New Hampshire that have tested positive for West Nile Virus since the beginning of July.
