And Like That….The Bedford Macy’s is No More.

Another famous area retailer disappears.

It's a landmark for so many, but earlier this week the final bricks at the former Bedford Macy's fell to the ground to make way for a 200,000 sq. ft. complex which will include include dining, recreation, fitness and retail.

One might speculate that after all these years it didn't make sense having a Macy's only one exit up from the Mall of NH Macy's at Exit 1.  Nevertheless, this place was my favorite place to shop!

Why?  Because I'm a guy.  It was one of the last of the stand-alone department stores with a separate entrance to the men's department.  You were in....and you were out.  Done (no mall/ mall parking lot hassle.)
