Arrest Made In Last Months Rochester Police Standoff

(Rochester, NH) - A Rochester man was formally charged Wednesday in connection with the 9-hour stand-off at the Amazon Campground last month. 

30 year old Ryan Cortina is charged with Possession of an Infernal Machine, Reckless Conduct, Domestic Violence-Simple Assault, False Imprisonment and Criminal Mischief.

Cortina had barricaded himself in his trailer at Amazon Park on April 19th, keeping police at bay until 1:30 the next morning when police were able to enter the trailer and found Cortina on the floor.

He had been hospitalized at Maine Medical Center in Portland for unknown unjuries until his release last Friday, when he was arrested by Portland Police on a fugitive warrant.  He was returned to NH yesterday and was formally charged by Rochester Police.

Cortina will make his initial court appearance on the charges later today.
