I know of at least 3 different people who have told me that I have to go to the Van Gogh exhibit in Boston.  I've seen Van Gogh paintings in the past, so I wasn't sure what all the hub-bub was about until I saw these pictures from my friend, Brooke.  OMG.  I have to go and so do you.

Brooke and her husband decided to go see the Exhibit in Colorado where they live and she posted these pix and a video on Facebook.  Lucky for us, the same exhibit is here in Boston at the Strand Theatre.

If you're not familiar with the Strand, it's located at 543 Columbia Road in Boston and has a rich history.  According to VanGoghexpo.com:

Emblematic theatre with over 100 years of history, the Strand Theatre serves as a cultural and educational resource to artists and audiences. Throughout the years, the Strand has been home to all kinds of entertainment, from music (Tracey Chapman and BB King among others) and music video shooting (Aerosmith, New Kids on the Block) to well-known theatre productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar and West Side Story. The Strand is also highly involved in the development of its surrounding community, with several programs teaching youngsters every aspect of theatre production.

My friend Brooke told me that this was such a cool experience for her and her husband.  What you can't see in these pictures is that there is music playing while the artwork splashes up against the walls of the theater.

This definitely looks like a must-see exhibit for any art lover.  I asked Brooke if she thought it would make for a better experience if you showed up stoned.  She gave an answer, but I can't possibly share it here, but she IS from Colorado.  Just sayin'.
