The Nor'Geekster Craft Fair is happening on Saturday, December 4

At the time of this writing, there are only 22 shopping days left until Christmas, which means odds are, you're going to be out and about this weekend trying to cross more items and people off of your list. And if you're around the Maine Mall in SoPo tomorrow, you can knock out a ton of gifts AND do some good for the kiddos at Barbara Bush Children's Hospital while you're there!

The Nor'Geekster Craft Fair is happening from 10a-4p at the Maine Mall tomorrow and will be set up between Old Navy and Round1. According to Heather McCaul, who has had a booth at the fair for the last few years...

"Local crafters and vendors are full of fun, geek holiday items from jewelry, to clothing, to cutting boards, to other fun hidden items. Fun raffles, food and shopping local is what Nor'Geekster is all about!"

So, not only can you get some definitely unique items for people for Christmas, but it just so happens that the table that Heather represents year after year at Nor'Geekster is for a charity toy drive.

The charity toy drive benefits the kids at Barbara Bush Children's Hospital

Heather mentioned she's been volunteering at the charity toy drive at the fair since 2017 on behalf of the Children's Hospital. While she's there to collect toys and cash donations for the kids, she's provided free hot cocoa and fresh popped popcorn for everyone -- equally as a thank you for donating, and just to bring cheer to an already cheerful season and event.

Back in 2019, Heather said she actually brought in a half-filled U-Haul that was stuffed with toys. While some came from a local Toys For Tots and not all could be taken by the Children's Hospital, Heather said she was able to disperse the rest of the load to area churches, libraries, schools, shelters -- anyone who needed items for the holidays.
