Beloved Member of Dover’s Mounted Patrol Seeking Retirement Home

'Monty,' a police horse who patrolled the streets of Dover, New Hampshire for years just recently retired and is now in need of a retirement home. 

The Dover Mounted Patrol has begun their search to find Monty (pictured here on the left, 'CJ' on the right) a forever retirement home.

Please consider the following prior to contacting the DMP for more information: 

-backgrounds checks will be conducted
-barn visits will be made
-an adoption agreement will be signed
-horse experience a MUST and draft horse experience a PLUS
-no lesson programs
-ideal use - occasional trails
-must have at least one other horse that he is stabled with
-an ideal home would have plenty of turnout for him to enjoy
