Bill Aimed at Regulating Uber in NH Passes House
A bill aiming to regulate Uber and provide a path for more uniform regulation in New Hampshire has passed the house and awaits senate approval.
According to CBS Boston, ridesharing services would apply annually for a $500 permit from the Department of Safety. The bill also provides some safety assurances, such as prohibiting registered sex offenders and those convicted of drunk driving from being drivers.
Governor Maggie Hassan would approve the bill should it pass the senate.
