Canada Jays In Pittsburg, NH Will Eat Food Right From Your Hand
'Tis snowmobiling season! If you are a snowmobile enthusiast who frequents the trails near the Canadian border, you may have already bonded with a Canadian Jay. If you want to become besties with one of these friendly birds, apparently it's quite simple! Just pull off to the side of the Snowmobile trail and hold food out in your hand. Chances are a Canada Jay will fly into the palm of your hand and help his/herself. They aren't afraid of you at all, they just want your snacks!
Some spots where this is known to happen are East Inlet Trail and Diamond Ridge in Pittsburg, NH. There are also some trails in Errol and Colebrook that are popular with these loving birds.
