Dover Youth To Youth Groups Celebrates 25 Years
(Dover, NH) - The students in the Dover Police Department's "Youth To Youth" program will gather this afternoon to highlight 25 years of efforts to prevent underaged drinking, tobacco use and drug misuse.
Over the past 25 years, hundreds of students in grades 6 through 12 have taken part in the Youth To Youth Program, a peer-based youth empowerment program to aggressively participate as part of "the solution" to the drug and violence problem.
Students from Dover have traveled to cities across the country to provide training and assist in setting up similar programs.
The Dover program has garnered numerous state and national awards for their drug prevention messages, many of those recorded in our Dover studios. We are proud and honored to have been a small part of the Y2Y success.
