Driver Dies In North Country Crash

(Pinkhams Grant, NH ) - State Police say a Berlin man died Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident on Route 16.

85 year old John Kovalik of Berlin was alone in the car that went off the road near the Wildcat Ski Area, flipped on to its roof and came to rest near a tree.

Kovalik was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident just after 3 pm Tuesday.

21 year old Xiomara Andrade and 23 year old Edward Nebron-Delbrey were charged with selling cocaine and heroin after police observed a drug transaction in the parking lot of a local hotel.

(Rochester, NH) - A Greenland woman faces charges after an early morning accident on the Spaulding Turnpike in Rochester. State Police say 22 year old Jessica Starkey was charrged with DWI and Felony Reckless Conduct after driving her pick-up southbound in the northbound lane before leaving the road and ending in a snowbank. There were no injuries in the crash just before 3 this morning.

(Concord, NH) - The New Hampshire House will take up a proposed increase in the states gas tax today. The discussion comes as legislators are deciding on a proposed 88-million dollar cut in the state transportation budget proposed by Governor Maggie Hassan.

(Southern France) - Officials continue to investigate the possible cause for Tuesdays crash of a Germanwings Airbus jetliner in the Alps. All 150 on board were killed when the plane went in  to an 8-minute dive before crashing. One of the black boxes from the aircraft has been recovered.
