Expect Delays On The Route 1 By-Pass In Portsmouth

(Portsmouth, NH) - You can expect lane closures and traffic delays this week as crews continue the structural inspection of the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge connecting Portsmouth to Kittery, Maine.

The  inspection process will run daily from 8 am to 3:30 pm.

Flag persons, electronic message signs and warning signs are being used to notify drivers of the lane closures.

Motorists who normally use the Route 1 By-Pass are urged to seek and alternate route to avoid delays.
