The highly anticipated grand reopening of Granite Restaurant & Bar located in the Centennial Hotel happened last night, and I went!

I love good food and a good atmosphere, and this restaurant certainly ticked all of the boxes.

According to a press release by JLA Public Relations, Granite Restaurant & Bar has welcomed a new Executive Chef to the helm of their kitchen. His name is Chef Charlie Lavery and he has decades of experience under his belt at some amazing New England eateries such as the Snowvillage Inn located in Eaton, NH and Central Provisions in Portland, Maine. (love that place!)

All of the new menu items celebrate locally grown and craft products from throughout New England. Live and local, just like our radio show!  Lots of their ingredients are all sourced from nearby purveyors such as Tennery Farm, Rosaley’s Farm, Dunk’s Mushrooms and more.

Want to see what I put in my belly?

HERE WE GO!

The perfect martini does not exist. Oh wait, yes it does! Behold a Grey Goose Martini straight up with olives and lots of olive juice. I didn't even get a funny look when I ordered it "filthy". Their bar is fully stocked and they are ready to concoct your go to favorites. (my friend got a Cosmo which was also delish, you can see that peeking over my Martini)

This drink is called the "Naked and Famous" I'll admit, I was drawn in by the name. It was made with Mezcal, aperol, yellow chartreuse and lime juice. Pretty, isn't she?

You can't go wrong with the Statler Chicken! I love their approach to this classic.

The New York Strip was cooked medium rare to absolute perfection. I should have made a little boomerang cutting into this bad boy but I dropped the ball!

This dessert had a classy, cool name that I can't remember but it is essentially carrot cake in a mason jar! It was absolutely decadent and one of my favorite things I have consumed all year.

We cannot forget the lava cookie which was positively life changing. The contrast between the cold ice cream and warm cookie straight from the oven had my taste buds dancing with delight.

We also had the brussel sprouts as an appetizer which were *chef's kiss* but we ate them too fast so I didn't get a photo. If that isn't a testament to how delish they were, I'm not sure what is!

And there you have it! I'm still full and this was yesterday. Check out their amazing new menu for yourself. They are open for bidness and their hours are as follows:

Dinner Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Dinner Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Sunday Brunch from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
