Remember When Guy Fieri Showed Up at This North Conway, New Hampshire Bagel Shop?

When Guy Fieri visits any restaurant in the U.S., it is an exciting thing.  That's why his show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is such a hit.  It's even more exciting when he comes to New Hampshire.

Remember When Guy Fieri Paid a Visit to Big Dave's Bagels in NH?

According to their Facebook page, it was about 4 years ago that Guy showed up to eat at Big Dave's Bagels in North Conway.  They obviously got a boost in their business when that happened. The DDD effect is REAL, they said, even when it's rerun on the Food Network.

Big Dave's Bagels has SO MUCH MORE than just bagels from what I see on their website.  It looks like this place is worth the road trip!  They have pastries that look like something I have never seen in a good way.  And their signature sandwiches are making my mouth water.

I've also seen them create letters from the bread of their deli sandwiches so you can personalize your lunch.  Clever!

New Hampshire Was Well Represented at Chicago's Restaurant Show Week

Big Dave also just got back from the National Restaurant Show week in Chicago.  They ran into another one of Guy Fieri's favorite NH Chefs (mine too) Bobby Marcotte, chef at the Tuckaway Tavern in Raymond (and other restaurants in NH) at the event. They go to the event to learn and bring back fresh ideas to the 603. Love it!  If you stop learning, you might as well stop, right?
