This morning we were talking about New Hampshire businesses that closed shop and you rather miss. A number of you cited the Granite State Potato Chip Factory and for good reason. Their chips rocked.

Despite growing up just a couple towns away, I never knew where the factory was located and that it had a shop attached. It was a staple in Salem for over a century-- 102 years to be exact-- before closing in 2007 and eventually being razed to make way for a Dunkin Donuts.

Check out this YouTube video about the history of the Granite State Potato Chip Factory that was produced by Larry Seaman of Salem Community Television & Around Town!
